SDMH OutReach Programme strives to make a difference to the lives of the poor and neglected. In involves reaching out to those the world tends to forget. It is about giving them a smile and a reason to be happy. It is all about seeing the dream from our eyes, the same dream seen by Padmashri Khailshanker Durlabhji.
Rural Health Camp at Sawai Madhopur & Phalodi

The dream made us travel to Sawai Madhapur and Phalodi on 1st and 2nd May. We drove along a narrow and bumpy road to reach low density villages but the journey looked sweet when we received awesome response of over 2800 patients.
This Camp was organized in association with The Ranathambore Tiger Project (headed and guided by Shri R. S. Shekhawat) and
The camp was split into in 2 parts -:
Limb Fitting and Rehabilitation camp at Alanpur, Sawaimadhopur on 1st and 2nd May.

Rural Heath Camp at Phalodi on 2nd May.
- Total Number of registrations : 2616
Limb Fitting and Rehabilitation Camp –
The efficacy of "Dr. P. K. Sethi Rehabilitation and Jaipur Limb Training Centre" as a force multiplier to the Outreach initiative was amply demonstrated in the Camp.
At Sawaimadhopur, the fabrication and fitting of artificial limbs (Jaipur Foot) was carried out for 10 patients at the spot by our team under the supervision of Dr. Anil Jain. All patients were able to walk comfortably and were happy with the cosmetic finishing of the limbs.
Mr. Rakesh Kumar from Kishangarh, 48 years, was amputated above elbow long back and was using a very heavy prosthesis. In the camp, he was fitted with a better looking, light weight above elbow prosthesis.

Fifteen specialist doctors from SDMH provided their services. In this camp too, HB % & Blood Sugar test was done for patients for free and the medicines were provided to the needy patients for free.

- The Ranthambore experience reaffirmed the philosophy of the Outreach programme. Satisfaction levels were extremely high.
- The entire programme was organized with the help of Shri R. S. Shekhawat, DFO, who is a cult figure and highly respected officer in Ranthambore. His presence, along with that of his entire team, throughout the camp was a mute testimony to his commitment towards the welfare of the local population. This certainly added to the service quotient of the camp.
- Heart rending stories and a heartening approach to providing sustainable care proved to be the hallmark of the entire excercise.
- The ground work of the NGO’s, voluntary organizations and individuals was meticulous and greatly facilitated the output of the camp.
- Civil administrators and citizen were involved in ensuring excellent administrative arrangements.
- All round warmth and affection were discernible.
